The first two pictures show me in 1985 sectionally dismantling a huge Beech and an equally huge Turkey Oak into a small garden in Davenham. This was one of the very first large takedowns and a real "in at the deep end" affair having only just finished the second block of my City & Guilds Arboriculture at Reaseheath. Everything was relatively easy after this job and nothing has come close to that first real challenge.

This picture shows the largest tree I ever felled. At approx 140' high 70' branch spread and over 6' diameter it was exhilerating when it fell.
